Parts of Holden Street Ashbury were auctioned in 1916 as part of the Wattle Hill Estate. No’s 127-163 were auctioned in 1924 and the houses are of that Bungalow Era. There is a good collection of leadlight spanning the years from WW1 till the late 1920’s in Holden Street and there are some impressive examples of Art Deco leadlight.

Holden Street

No 131 is a Californian Bungalow built in the mid to late 1920’s with leadlight in two three panel casement windows. The design is ‘ovalate’ with a wide pastel yellow border of textured glass and floral elements. It looks lovely from the street.
