Whitfield Street

Main Period: Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No’s 9, 11,13 & 17

Whitfield Avenue is shown as New Street in the 1920 subdivision of the ‘Ashfield Heights Estate’. The leadlight that currently exists in houses in the street is all in the odd numbered houses on the western side that were part of the 1920 subdivision

Whitfield Street

No 9 is a Californian Bungalow built in the early to mid-1920’s leadlight in a six panel casement square bay window. It is a difficult design to describe but it looks lovely from the street.
