ASHFIELD

Joseph Street

Main Period: Victorian – Federation - Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No’s 17, 24, 37, 44, 46, 47, & 52

The top end of Joseph Street was subdivided from ‘Freshwater’s Paddock in the early 1880’s and as a result there are some lovely Victorian terraces and free standing dwellings still surviving. As you move down Joseph Street you move forward in time from Victorian to Federation interspersed with a few Californian Bungalows.

Joseph Street

The terrace at No 17 has a magnificent entrance with the front door panels and a semi-circular fanlight intact with lovely Victorian leadlight.
