Manchester Street
Main Period: Victorian - Federation - Interwar
Leadlight apparent at No’s 3, 17a & 29
Manchester Street was part of the Summer Hill Petersham View Estate subdivision in 1880. May of the houses in thestreet appears to have been built some time in the early 1880’s to the outbreak of World War 1. There are 1880 terraces and early Federation houses but not a lot of leadlight.
Manchester Street
No 3 is a Victorian terrace house (1884) with leadlight in a three panel casement window. It is definitely a later addition because the design is from a later period but it is an example of reusing leadlight sympathetically.
