ASHFIELD

Milton Street North

Main Period: Victorian- Federation - Current

Leadlight apparent at No 19

Milton Street North is a bit of a mish mash with business buildings at the southern end and a mixture of Victorian and Federation buildings on the other side of the street. The first subdivision took place in 1884 and some of the houses are clearly from that period. The leadlight that remains is from later Federation buildings.

There is very little leadlight left in this street.

The two three panel casement windows at No 19 are from the Federation period and have lovely ribbons and drops with a floral motif in the central panel. They are really well preserved. There are a couple of smaller windows in the driveway but they are difficult to see and describe.
