Neville Street appears the 1882 subdivision of Neville’s Estate. J. Neville is shown owning a large block on Addison Road, between Neville Street and Essex Street. The name Neville appears on a block on the corner of Surrey Street and Neville Street as shown in the 1888 subdivision of Mordialloc, Petersham. The houses on the eastern side of the street, between Addison Road and Surrey Street (No’s 39-67) are all shown as being built by the time of the Norwood Park auctions in 1905.

There are many small cottages and semi- detached Federation houses  in Neville Street. It was very much a ‘workingman’s’(sic) Street

No 28 is an Interwar semi-detached house (c.1934) with leadlight in a small window facing south. The dwelling is the mirror image of number 30.
