 No 30 Pine Street is a particularly good example of an Arts & Crafts bungalow circa 1925

Main Period: Federation - Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No’s 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 28, 30, 46.

Subdivision in the area around Pine Street was took place with the breaking up of some of the early Marrickville farms (e.g. Pfoeffer’s Garden 1884 & Campagnoni’s Garden 1885). Subdivision for the southern side of Pine Street have not been located but the style of some of the buildings suggests that development occurred from the 1880’s.

 

Planning for the subdivision of Teege’s Estate appears to have commenced in 1891 if the date pencilled on the sketch is correct. The Auction took place in 1900.

Pine Street

No 3 is a Federation house (c.1904) with leadlight in the fan light above the front door.The design retains a lot of the Victorian influence.
