Queen Street runs between Liverpool Road and Canterbury Road. It is an amazing street in that there are so many different buildings and dwellings along its length. There are new high rise unit near Liverpool Road. The Cardinal Freeman Village occupies a huge section of the street. From the Victorian period there are weatherboard cottages, two storey terraces, mansions and even a ‘castle’. There are several varieties of Federation era homes. There are some immaculately preserved Californian bungalows that give a section of Queen street a unique feel. There are Interwar flats with huge leadlight panels.

Queen Street

No 15 is a Federation house built in 1911 with leadlight in the fanlight above the front door.

While the houses from 11-23 are mentioned in The Ashfield Heritage Study 1991-1992 the leadlight is not recorded.
