HURLSTONE PARK

Railway Street

Main Period: Federation - Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No’s 2, 4, 8 & 10

Railway Street is a short street that was part of the 1st Subdivision of the Jeffrey's Estate in 1901. There is a group of very small cottages all built about the same time, probably between 1902-1904 that look similar and these have retained some, if not all their leadlight.

This Jeffrey's Estate subdivision released blocks of land that were relatively small for Hurlstone Park.

Railway Street

No 2 is a small Early Federation house built between 1902-1904 with leadlight in a three panel casement window. on the front veranda. The design is very interesting with a large yellow oval with small blue ovals on either side.
