Rogers Avenue

Main Period: Federation - Interwar

Leadlight apparent at  No’s 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12A, 13 14, 15, 16, 18 21 & 22

Rogers Avenue appears on Stanton's Haberfield No 3 Subdivision as Orpington Street. It was changed to Rogers Avenue sometime around 1915. Most of the houses are from the Federation period but there are a couple of very nice Californian Bungalows. As with most Federation leadlight it is largely used around the front entrance and there are some notable examples at No's 10, 15 & 21. No 7 is a Californian Bungalow with some great leadlight from 1930 and while it is not leadlight, the bevelled glass panels in and around the front door are fantastic.

Rogers Avenue is shown as Orpington Street in this subdivision of Stanton's Haberfield Estate No 3 in 1905.

Rogers Avenue

No 6 is a Federation house (1908) with leadlight in the front door panel, sidelights & tops and in the fanlight. The leadlight design flows through the entrance set and is quite beautiful.
