HABERFIELD

Turner Avenue

Main Period: Federation - Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No’s 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 31, 35, 36, 37, 39, 40 & 43

Turner Avenue was part of the first Haberfield Estate in 1901 and has some of the oldest houses in the suburb. Some of the leadlight in Turner Avenue displays the legacy of the formal Victorian influence, the influence of Art Nouveau and the emerging influence of Art Deco. The leadlight at No 27 is a wonderful mix of Victorian and Art Nouveau and is a 'Must See' while the doors and sidelights at No 39 look very Victorian and formal.

Turner Avenue was part of the 1st Subdivision of Stanton's Haberfield Estate in 1901.

Turner Avenue

No 4 is a Modified Federation house (1910) with leadlight in the front door panel and fan light.
