DULWICH HILL
Barnsbury Grove
Main Period: Late Victorian - Federation
Leadlight apparent at No’s 10, 12, 18A, 23, 25, 27, 29 & 33.
Barnsbury Grove is shown on the plan of Camberwell Grove, Wardells Estate Petersham in 1882. The same estate appears again for auction in 1889. Most of the leadlight in the street is from this late Victorian to early Federation period. The name possibly derives from the suburb of Barnsbury north of London.

Barnsbury Grove
No 10 is a Federation cottage (c.1900) with leadlight in the top front door panels and in the fan light above the front door. There is some spectacular leadlight at the rear of the house but it is not visible from the street.
