Leadlight apparent at No’s 5, 6, 7, 13, 16, 20, 29 & 38

Most of the houses in KeirAvenue were built after the end of WW1 at the start of the Californian Bungalow Age. There are a  number of examples of leadlight from this period that are indicative of this transitional period.

Keir Avenue

No 5 is an early Californian Bungalow (c.1922) with leadlight in two two panel casement windows, one on the left and one on the verandah. The design in each of the windows is different and that is unusual. Both may be reproductions but they are very good if they are because they evoke the period.
