Development in Woodbury Street has taken place over an extended period of time from the 1890s through the Federation years and then on to the post-depression inter- war homes and semi-detached houses at the northern end of the street. It’s really worth having a walk down the street. The leadlight in the Interwar semi-detached houses at the northern end of the street is in remarkably intact condition.

The street is paved with bricks from the local area. It appears to have been subdivided in the late 1890’s and then again after the depression in the 1930’s.

Woodbury Street

No 2 is an early California bungalow (c.1920) with leadlight in a six panel casement square bay window. The design is repeated in each of the panels and the colours are subdued. It’s very attractive. The angled sash bars ad an interesting design feature.
