Shepherd Street
Main Period: Victorian
Leadlight apparent at No’s 8, 22, 26 & 30.
Shepherd Street August 2020. Much of the original houses have been replaced by light industry.
The subdivision of Shepherd Street began in the 1880’s as can be seen in the Meeks Estate. A 7 foot wide drain is shown in this plan indicating that this low land was subject to flooding.

Much of this area is still prone to flooding.
Shepherd Street
No 8 is a Victorian Terrace (c.1885) with leadlight in the fanlight above the front door. The leadlight is unlikely to be original. None of the other terraces have retained any leadlight.
