Wharf Street

Main Period: Interwar

Leadlight apparent at No's 10B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 5 & 7

Wharf Street is shown on the 1877 subdivision of the Riverside Estate but it appears that most of this huge planned subdivision did not occur A public. Wharf Street is shown running at 90 degrees to the wharf Street that exists. Much of this proposed subdivision is flood prone and most of the land adjacent to the Cooks River is now Marrickville Golf Course. The original houses that still exist are from the post WW1 period.
